Default Random Stops of Mirth Service

Hi, we have many clients (about ~30) running windows 10, which have their own Mirth (currently 3.4.2) installed and linked to local SQL Server 2014 Express databases.

Sometimes Mirth service stops on any of them sporadically. We just "start" it manually and eveything is ok then. On some clients, we encounter this issue once in a month, on some other clients once in 2 months etc. But for some of them, we never experienced this also. All clients are the same computer having the exact same hardware specifications.

When I check the mirth log after any issue, the error is exactly the same everytime like this:

ERROR 2017-12-04 09:08:00,004 [Main Server Thread] com.mirth.connect.server.Mirth: Error establishing connection to database, aborting startup. I/O Error: Software caused connection abort: recv failed

Do you have any ideas for what might be the cause?

Default Anyone figure out a solution?

Did you ever find a solution? While reading threads on this site show it is the sender, we are getting inundated with this sort of error lately and the only thing that seems to have changed in our setup was upgrading Mirth to 3.5.1. This sort of error seems to get worse each time we upgrade but this one is the worst. We are having to restart Mirth services a lot and have no real options from the sender system (Meditech) on altering the TCP connection to Mirth.

This error looks like something causing problems between mirth and its own Database. I would basically check the mirthdb activity log to see whats going on.
