Question Bug in channelName for channel destination

Hi!

I was performing some tests in my channels, and I noticed that when I select to "Always" queue messages in "Edit Channel -> Destinations -> Destination settings" option, the variable "channelName" is not filled by Mirth at the first time it is called, appearing with the value "null", but is filled the next times it is called. If I change the queue messages option to "On Failure", the problem never happens, and the "channelName" variable is always filled correctly.

Can you please confirm if this is a global problem or if it is just something that I'm doing wrong, and how it can be solved.

Thank you!

This does indeed appear to be a bug: MIRTH-3860. As a workaround, you should be able to set the channel name as a channel/connector map variable, and then use it in your destination.

Always include what Mirth Connect version you're working with. Also include (if applicable) the code you're using and full stacktraces for errors (use CODE tags). Posting your entire channel is helpful as well; make sure to scrub any PHI/passwords first.

- How do I foo?
- You just bar.
