Default Global Variables

I'm using global variables to store raw messages from an HL7 feed to use in a later channel. Once I get the data out of the global variable I clear the data. Is there a script that can be run to remove the global variable once the data has been cleared? I noticed that there is a setting on the dashboard to "Clear global map on deploy" but would like to clear on a daily basis rather than at deploy.

Couldn't you just place something in global scripts (post-process perhaps) to set the value to null?

You could use a JS channel executed daily to remove the variables. But I think Kerry solution (post-processing) is better.
